Brief Curriculum Vitae

Stella Starra studied “Political and Social Sciences”, at the Panteion University of Political and Social Sciences in Athens. She has completed a Postgraduate Training Course, on “Social Development Executives”, at the Department of Sociology of Panteion University in Athens. Also, she completed her post-university education, with a Master of Science on “Marketing & Communication with New Technologies”, at the Athens University of Economics.

Joined the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (A.C.C.I.) in 1993 and she is currently Head of European Affairs Department, of the International Trade Relations Directorate, of Chamber. Also, she is Coordinator Manager of the Athens Start Up Business Incubator Athens – THEA.

She participates of numerous programs and working groups at European and national level on issues of sustainable development, promoting innovation and business extroversion, but also improving employment and effectively linking vocational training with the labor market, as below:

1. Project Coordinator and Network Advisor of the A.C.C.I., at the “Enterprise Europe Network” of the “Single Market Programme – COSME 2021 – EEN (SMP – COSME 2021 – EEN” 2. Communication manager of the A.C.C.I. at the “European Resource Efficiency Knowledge Center – (EREK)”, 3. Coordinator of the Transnational Project “GAZELLE organizing accELaration for high – potential innovative SME’s” of the “INTERREG – BALCAN MED 2014 – 2020”, with Coordinating Partner is the A.C.C.I., 4. Deputy Representative of the A.C.C.I. to the Standing Committee of the “Employment Organization of Human Resourses” for the modernization of the institution of Apprenticeship in Greece, since the year 2014 until today, 5. Communication Manager of the A.C.C.I., as a Member of the “Hellenic Network for Corporate Social Responsibility – CSR Hellas Network”, since the year 2012 until today, 6. Communication Manager of the A.C.C.I., as a Member of the “Global Compact Network Hellas” for the Support of the 10 Basic Principles of the UN Global Compact, since the year 2012 until today, 7. Head of the “European Information Center Europe Direct A.C.C.I.” since 2013 – 2017, which aimed to inform European citizens about EU policies and priorities and strengthen the participatory exercise of their rights, etc.

She speaks very good English (Proficiency NOCN C2, ESOL International) and Greek and has been certified in computer skills (Global Cert Intermediate C).

She has extensive experience in informing companies about European entrepreneurship policies.
